Lesson Description:

Poon Sao is the basis and the ABCs of developing your structure for all future programs and sections of Chi Sao.

Without understanding Poon Sao you cannot understand Chi Sao, it’s that simple.

Poon Sao is worked on various levels and also introduces initial reflexes to deal with various changes in arm positions and attacks.

More importantly Poon Sao prepares your body to create pressure, and the ‘spring’ like reaction required for your body to bounce into action.

Poon Sao strengthens the body and creates the structure for all future programs of Chi Sao.

Furthermore we start to teach and explain how Poon Sao and Chi Sao are ‘not’ a separate entity to actual combat and how the two relate to each other in harmony.
