The first section of Chi Sao is very long and has many lessons that explain the many variations of how it is to be trained and, more importantly, how it is applied in combat.

The first section deals with attacks on both sides of the body and developing counter attacks.

It teaches you how to integrate everything you have learnt from the Siu Nim Tao form.

It encompasses all the fighting principles, body structure and flexibility that you have prepared for in previous lessons.
